Usage

The Usage page helps organization admins understand how Errorgap is being used across projects. Use it to spot sudden event changes, growing storage, inactive projects, and agent access patterns.

What usage shows

• Events this month shows incoming event volume and comparison to the previous period.
• Storage used estimates stored event context against the included amount.
• MCP requests shows recent activity from active agent tokens.
• Active projects shows how many projects received events in the selected range.

Choose a range

Use 7 days for recent spikes, 30 days for normal operational review, and 90 days for trend analysis. The selected range changes the charts and project tables.

Event volume

Event volume is grouped by project so you can see which services drive the most telemetry. A sudden increase usually means a new failure, an instrumentation change, or a noisy event.

• Open high-volume projects and inspect unresolved groups.
• Check recent deploys when volume changes abruptly.
• Use event throttling only after understanding the source of the increase.

Storage

Storage usage is an estimate of retained event context. Review projects with high storage when they also have high event volume, large context payloads, or long-running incidents.

MCP access

MCP metrics show whether organization agent tokens are active. Review token names, last-used times, expiration dates, and scopes when agent access is no longer expected.

Act on usage

• Investigate projects with unexplained event spikes.
• Archive or fix noisy recurring errors before reducing visibility with sampling.
• Review redaction when stored context grows because payloads include large sensitive fields.
• Revoke stale agent tokens and shorten expirations for temporary workflows.
